How many times as a parent have you been asked a question about your child followed by the word yet? 🤔
Are they sleeping through the night yet? Are they toilet trained yet? Have they said any words yet? Are they walking yet? 🤦♀️
It seems like a never-ending stream of waiting and preparing for the next stage. The socially accepted norm is that children are not developed, or even immature adults. Society doesn’t seem to view children as human beings but as human becoming’s 👶
But what if we shifted our focus and started honouring the stage our little people are in, honouring the moment, honouring the choice, honouring the now 🎇
By allowing children to naturally move through their stages of development, while working alongside them and scaffolding where they are at, we have a greater chance of creating whole, competent, and capable learners, and humans for the future 👦🏽👧🏼👦🏻👧🏽
